Strategiczne wykorzystywanie przemocy wobec ludności cywilnej w wojnach domowych: Studium przypadku wojny domowej w Syrii

Artykuł analizuje strategiczne wykorzystywanie przemocy wobec ludności cywilnej w wojnach domowych, odwołując się do wojny domowej w Syrii jako studium przypadku. W pracy zastosowano teorie przemocy strategicznej jako ramy analityczne służące wyjaśnieniu, w jaki sposób i dlaczego rządy autorytarne wykorzystują przemoc wobec ludności cywilnej jako narzędzie polityczne, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem przypadku Syrii. Badanie ma charakter jakościowego studium przypadku i opiera się na metodzie analizy dokumentów. Wyniki wskazują, że różne formy przemocy wobec ludności cywilnej podczas wojny domowej w Syrii były stosowane przede wszystkim przez rząd Baszara al-Asada i jego sojuszników jako strategiczny instrument utrzymywania kontroli nad zagrożeniami politycznymi w czasie konfliktu oraz kształtowania powojennego porządku politycznego. Artykuł wnosi wkład do badań nad konfliktami oraz nad przemocą polityczną.
