Derya Gür-Şeker is PhD in German Linguistics (University of Duisburg-Essen), is working as a postdoctoral researcher in German Linguistics at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her research interests lie in pragmatics, (contrastive) discourse analysis, corpus and text linguistics as well as language use in politics and online media. She has also researched and published on transnational discourses within Europe, focusing on security issues. Her most recent publications include:
